Bistra Fuel Discount Service

The Bistra Fuel Disount Service is useful for stores wishing to use this incentive to help increase their sales through increased basket size. In this way it is particularly usefu; to "Express" type stores..medium sized supermarkets.

Stores using this service have experienced basket sizes of nearly $60 where the standard basket without this service is around $16-17.

It requires the support of a closeby service station. There are a number of sites with Service stations within the same "strip" or mall, so making the arrangements is usually not difficult. These tend to be ideal but there are other situations just as good in terms of customer attraction.

Bistra Services organises the Service Station and the rest of the elements necessary to conduct the service including the reimbursement of the amount of discount paid by the Service Station on behalf of the subscriber store.

There is a cost but it works ou around 2.5-3.5% of the gross sales, and the sales volume is as much as 8-106% of total sales.

The only equipment required is a stamp with a date used to stamp qualifying dockets, and discount bar coded cards for the Service Station.
The purpose of this Service is, as stated, the increase of sales through increase in the basket size although it can also attract additional traffic.

This Service deals with determining a promotional plan for the store taking into account its geographical position, relevant competition, retail 'offer' and many other factors. The output is a plan, over time, with costs and anticipated benefits for the store. On some occasions Gift Certificates can be used to promote the store. There are endless requests for support from various local clubs placed on every store. Whether it is trivia nights, gala days or fund raisers of whatever sort. It is possible to get a number printed with a standard offer. The Bistra Services approach is to give a certificate relevant to and printed for the occasion. Such a system makes the certificate more special and appreciated.the occasion. Of course their is a gift involved, but a gift that can only be used at the store. It is a little like the est and fairest awards, people may buy other things and more importsntly everyone knows about the store. It is cheap advertising. Bistra Labelling Service

The objective of this services is to provide stores with "products" that are exclusively theirs. The actual product to be consumed may be in another store with another label. But by labelling it as the store's product the store has the opportunity by its selection of such products to clearly state its taste preferences and build customer loyalty. The benefit of the Bistra Labelling Service is that it is economical to produce as few as 240 items if they are of some value (see the Bistra Spring Water Service) Items that are particularly suitable are Jams and Spreads, Honey and Canola and Muesli and similar value products from small manufacturers. Bistra Services can help you find the sort of products you wish to privately label. The result is not as cheap as runs of 50,000, but it is intended to promote the store and if you make allowance for that then it becomes quite economical.

The Bistra Welcome Service is best undertaken in conjunction with other stores to minimise cost. The basic concept is that each new resident in a defined area around the store receives a "Gift Pack" from the local stores, usually including vouchers to be used at the stores,
By this means the new resident is made aware of the local stores and what they have to offer. It seems strange but new residents often remain unaware of the local stores location and what they have to offer. This service is designed to address that problem.

Bistra Best and Fairest Awards and Vouchers Service

This Service is normally combined with the Bistra Slushee Service, and/or the Bistra Soft Ice Cream/Frozen Yoghurt Service but this is not necessary. the only pre-requisite is that the store has a suitable award that is attractive to children. This really depends on the facilities that the store has avaiable. The only conditions for success is that children really want the award, and it is relatively cheap to provide. Slushies fill both conditions ideally. The Service consists of Bistra Services contacting the local childen's sporting clubs and then creating vouchers for Best and Faiest and Most Consistent at Training for each participating team from each club. These "vouchers" are given to the winning children my the coach/manager of each team and are presented at the store by the children accompanied by an adult, for the prize claimed. This service generates :- 1.Goodwill amongst the local community 2.Increased Awareness of the Store and its offering 3.Increased store traffic 4.Extra Sales of the award product (the children have brothers and sisters) This Service is free to those stores who are subscribers to the Bistra Slushee Service or the Bistra Soft Ice cream/Frozen Yoghurt Service and providing products from these services as the awards.

Bistra Indoor/Outdoor Display Service

This Service has a number of profit opportunities. These range from attracting customers into the store, through "selling" in the store to interactive benefits such as customer ordering on site.

Different equipment is designed for different purposes within this general theme and Bistra has a wide enough range to attack most issues.

Where the implementation instance has the objective of promoting the store and the products and Services it has for sale, especially if it is used to promote products that are offered at a special price for a limited period, it is especially useful because of the way it can be changed so simply and cheaply.

The Service is not designed as a display system advertising other stores and products not sold by the client store. This is not a technical issue, it is that Bistra is not organised to obtain the advertising. However if it is impotant it can be arranged.

In the instance the service can only pay for itself through the increased gross margin that it generates the choice of products to display is a very important part of the installation.

The equipment used is high definition monitors with computers. These are warranted for two years from the start of the service.

However we aim for a "pay back" period of one year and that seems to be about the average.
